Cornwall OSET Summer Championship Round 4

The 4th Round of the Cornwall OSET Cup was held at Gilberts Coombe, Redruth on Sunday 23rd August in surprisingly perfect weather, torrential rain lasted for 2 days before the trial and was forecast on the day but the sun shone all day and the 24 riders who attended all had a good day's riding.

Only 4 riders elected to ride the Hard Course and today the tables were turned as Josh Pengilly beat Katie Jo Morcom by one single mark, usually this is the other way around with Katie being the victor. Also on the Hard Course were 6 year old Josh Lawer and 7 year old Jack Tench who both did well and are congratulated on riding the hard sections. 6 year old George Lulham who was 3rd with 50 marks and 6 year old Ronnie Richards who was 4th with 59 marks.
On the Medium course the 7 year group was hard fought between Sam Hartland and William Allen, Sam eventually winning by 1 mark. Johnathan Hancock was again the lowest scorer on the Medium Course with a loss of just 9 marks.

On the Easy Course, Jowan Davis was a clear winner with a loss of only 3 marks ans the 4 year old group saw a battle between Isaac Brazier and Leon Thomas with Isaac eventually leading by 2 marks.

The 5th Round of the Cornwall OSET cup will be held on Saturday 3rd October at Burthy Row Fraddon. There is no OSET Cup Trial in September as the Camborne and Redruth Motor Club have a Novice and Beginners Trial on 6th September and OSET of all sizes are invited to compete in this event.
